To become a member of FGV Finance, one must be approved in the league's selection process. Through the selection process, we filter candidates who are most engaged with the financial market, our activities, and our values.
Application 2024.2
The FGV Finance selection process consists of four phases. The tests aim to assess the candidate's engagement to join the league, knowledge of current financial market and macroeconomics, logical reasoning, and alignment with the entity's values. All phases are eliminatory, but there are no restrictions for candidates to try the selection process again in the following semester if they are eliminated during the process.

Step-by-step
1ª Phase
Current Affairs and GMAT
GMAT Current Affairs Test in English, in an online format. It's important for the candidate to be able to interpret texts in English, have logical reasoning skills, and stay updated on the latest news about finance
2ª Phase
Technical interview
Technical interview in Portuguese, conducted individually with the candidate approved in the first phase. Study material will be provided via email for candidates to prepare in advance for the exam
3ª Phase
Technical interview
Technical interview in Portuguese, conducted individually with the candidate approved in the second phase. In this stage, the candidate's general knowledge of finance and current financial market affairs will be evaluated.
4ª Phase
Profile interview
Profile interview in Portuguese, conducted individually with the candidate approved in the third phase. The purpose of the final phase of the exam is to primarily assess the candidate's engagement to join FGV Finance and their alignment with the league's values.
Trainee cycle
If approved, the candidate joins the Trainee cycle of FGV Finance, which provides the necessary content to complete the Trainee challenge at the end of the cycle, as well as execute the tasks of the cells in the following semester. During the Trainee cycle, various activities are proposed, including:
Classes
The Trainee will have a programmed cycle of classes taught by professionals from the financial market and members of FGV Finance. The content covers the main subjects of finance professionals, such as macroeconomics, accounting, introduction to valuation, and derivatives, for example. Additionally, all classes have mandatory pre-class, post-class study, and exercise lists to reinforce the content.
Events
The Trainee participates in events promoted by FGV Finance and other partner leagues, where professionals from the financial market are invited to share their career paths, answer questions, and present their main success stories. Renowned financial institutions are also invited to discuss their investment theses and selection processes.
Book discussion
Throughout the Trainee cycle, three mandatory books are recommended for improving knowledge about finance and investments. After reading, trainees are organized into small groups to discuss the book with members and share their perspectives on the topics covered in the reading.
