Throughout the semester, members are able to develop a deep and similar work to what is done within the financial market. Here are some of the latest projects developed by the cells:
2023.2 - Investment Banking
In 2023.2, the Investment Banking cell, composed of Felipe Pettenatti, Gustavo Coutinho, Marcelo Thompson, and Ricardo Nascimento, conducted a simulation of an M&A deal between Hidrovias do Brasil and Rumo Logística. This included an in-depth study of the sector, the risks involved, the contractual structure built, and the business dynamics of the companies involved.
2023.2 - Public Equities
In 2023.2, the Public Equity cell, composed of Antônio Thomson, João Devai, Tiago Biasi, and Umberto Deveza, developed a 'hold' thesis on Vale. This included an in-depth study of the sector, the risks involved, and the financial modeling of the chosen company.
2023.1 - Investment Banking
In 2023.1, the Investment Banking cell, composed of Ciro Porto, Danilo Valigura, and Victor Brandão, conducted a simulation of an M&A deal from the sell-side perspective, with SLC Agrícola acquiring BoaSafra. This included an in-depth study of the sector, the risks involved, the contractual structure built, and the business dynamics of the companies involved.
2023.1 - Private Equity
In 2023.1, the Private Equity cell, composed of André Caetan, Eduardo Kenzo, Marcelo Thompson, and Pedro Paulo Meira, developed an investment thesis on the company Eletromidia. This included an in-depth study of the sector, the risks involved, and the financial modeling of the chosen company.

2022.2 - Acquisition Finance
In 2022.2, the Acquisition Finance cell, composed of Bernardo Botelho and Isa Matuoka, conducted a simulation of an M&A deal together with structuring financing for this operation in the LBO model, involving PetroRio's acquisition of 3R Petroleum. This included an in-depth study of the sector, the risks involved, the contractual structure built, and the business dynamics of the companies involved.

In 2022.1, the Investment Banking cell, composed of Michel Cyrulin, Julia Dzura, and Gabriel dos Anjos, conducted a simulation of an M&A deal between Pfizer and Blueprint Medicines. This included an in-depth study of the sector, the risks involved, the contractual structure built, and the business dynamics of the companies involved.
2021.2 - Private Equity
In 2021.2, the Private Equity cell, composed of João Terra, Guilherme Santos, Breno Tozzi, and Michel Cyrulin, developed a simulation of a PIPE in Afya. This included an in-depth study of the sector and the company, the risks involved, and the possibilities of acting as a Private Equity fund.
2021.1 - Project Finance
In 2021.1, the Project Finance cell, composed of Gabriel Peano, Leonardo Santos, Luis Lins, and Paulo Meira, conducted a simulation of a concession project, with the company Grupo CCR bidding for the Nova Dutra concession. This included an in-depth study of the sector, the risks involved, the contractual structure built, the debt structure, and the business dynamics of the concession.
